Pastor Jake Nelson
Jake and Sydney Nelson grew up, met and got married in northern Wisconsin. From there, they moved to Bemidji where Jake attended Oak Hills Christian College.
During their time in Bemidji, they have been blessed with two sons, Gideon, 2, and Edmund, 7 months.
After Jake graduated from college with his degree in pastoral ministry and Biblical studies, he was called to Akeley to serve as the pastor of White Oak Bible Chapel.
The Nelson family is very excited to be serving the Lord and bringing glory to His name as they begin their ministry at White Oak.

White Oak Bible Chapel is an independent church that is committed to making disciple for Jesus Christ (Mt. 28:16-20) who love God and their neighbors (Mt. 22:37-40). We are a small, friendly congregation & we welcome visitors & regulars alike. There are small group studies available as well as Wednesday night youth and children's programs during the school year. The church has been serving the Lord for over a 100 years with our centennial celebration in 2004.
White Oak Bible Chapel is also involved with UCAN (United Churches of Akeley and Nevis) to help with the emotional and physical needs of folks in the area.
